Pakistan and Bahrain Agree to Enhance Security Collaboration

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi arrived in Manama, Bahrain, on a one-day official visit to strengthen security ties between the two nations. Upon arrival, he was warmly welcomed at Bahrain International Airport and later received a guard of honor at the Ministry of Interior Headquarters. His meeting with Bahraini counterpart General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa focused on deepening bilateral security cooperation.

During high-level discussions, both ministers explored key areas of mutual interest, including counter-terrorism, anti-human trafficking, and narcotics control. They also exchanged views on addressing regional and global security challenges. To ensure sustained collaboration, both sides agreed to revitalize the Pakistan-Bahrain Joint Security Committee.

The Bahraini Interior Minister praised Pakistan’s support and expressed confidence that Naqvi’s visit would further strengthen security relations. Meanwhile, Minister Naqvi emphasized the need for enhanced coordination between the two ministries, particularly in combating drug trafficking and human smuggling. He also extended an invitation for his Bahraini counterpart to visit Pakistan.

The meeting was attended by senior officials, including Bahrain’s Deputy Interior Minister, Chief of Public Security, Pakistan’s Ambassador Saqib Rauf, and other diplomatic representatives. This high-level engagement underscores the commitment of both nations to fostering long-term security and strategic cooperation.
