Metrix Pakistan Names Taekwondo Stars Aysha Ayaz and Abu Huraira as Global Sports Ambassadors

Metrix Pakistan, a youth-centric organization based in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has announced the appointment of two accomplished taekwondo athletes—Aysha Ayaz from Swat and Syed Abu Huraira Shah—as its official Global Sports Ambassadors. This move is part of the organization’s mission to nurture young Pakistani talent and connect them with international opportunities. The announcement was made by founder and CEO Hassan Nisar, who highlighted the program’s focus on providing athletes with sponsorships, financial aid, and global exposure.

Nisar stressed the untapped potential of Pakistan’s youth, noting that institutional neglect often hinders their progress. “Athletes like Aysha and Abu Huraira prove what our youth can achieve with proper support,” he said. He urged collaboration between the government and private sector to foster a sustainable sports culture, adding, “Sports can unite communities and elevate Pakistan’s global standing—this is a long-term investment, not just a gesture.”

Aysha Ayaz, a trailblazer from Swat, began her international career with a bronze in Dubai (2019) and later clinched gold at the Thailand Open. With over 120 awards, she has been honored as the “Pride of KP” and recognized by the PCB. Syed Abu Huraira Shah, 20, has competed worldwide since age 12, winning gold in Malaysia and bronze in France, where he was acknowledged by the Mayor of Piossy. Both athletes have also been celebrated under the PSL’s “Hamaray Heroes” initiative.

Metrix Pakistan’s ambassador program aims to position these athletes as inspirations for youth while advocating for greater investment in sports talent. The initiative has been widely praised as a critical step toward bridging support gaps, especially for athletes from marginalized regions. By spotlighting Aysha and Abu Huraira, Metrix Pakistan reinforces its vision of showcasing Pakistani youth as global symbols of excellence and resilience.
