Star Women Sports Academy Launches Historic Summer Hockey Camp in Islamabad!

Star Women Sports Academy, in partnership with the Australian High Commission, has launched a groundbreaking Summer Hockey Camp in Islamabad, bringing together talented young female players from Jacobabad, Sukkur, Khairpur, and Shaheed Benazirabad. This first-of-its-kind camp in Pakistan’s hockey history provides exceptional facilities—including accommodation, meals, professional coaching, and full hockey kits—setting a new benchmark for women’s sports development. Participants have praised the initiative, calling it a transformative experience for aspiring athletes from underprivileged regions.

Academy founder Irum Baloch emphasized the camp’s mission to strengthen Sindh’s hockey talent, particularly for players under 21. “This camp is a historic opportunity to nurture future stars,” she said, thanking the Australian High Commission for their crucial support. Running from June 21 to July 3, the program not only hones athletic skills but also empowers young women through sports, paving the way for greater representation in national and international hockey.
