Karachi/Lahore – Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Mian Shahid Shafi, cousin of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who passed away on Saturday after a prolonged illness.
In his condolence message, Memon extended sympathies to the premier and the grieving family, stating, “I am deeply saddened by the news of Mian Shahid Shafi’s passing. In this difficult time, I stand with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the bereaved family.” He prayed for the deceased to be granted a high place in Jannah and for strength to the family to bear the loss.
According to family sources, Shahid Shafi had been battling kidney-related complications and breathed his last in Murree. His funeral prayers will be held today (Sunday) at Ittefaq Mosque, Model Town, Lahore. The family has requested prayers for the departed soul.
The passing has drawn condolences from political leaders and well-wishers, reflecting the close ties between the Sharif family and Pakistan’s political fraternity.
