Sargodha: Commissioner Jahanzaib Awan visited the under-construction Government Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cardiology on Thursday to review the ongoing development work. Accompanied by senior officials, including Director Development Bilal Hassan and Deputy Director Technical Rana Shahid Imran, he inspected multiple floors of the facility and received a detailed progress report from the Infrastructure Development Authority Punjab (IDAP).
During the visit, engineers informed the commissioner that the grey structure of the hospital had been completed, and interior finishing work was advancing swiftly. Awan examined the first, second, and third floors, emphasizing the need to maintain high construction standards while speeding up the project timeline.
The commissioner also visited the temporary outpatient department (OPD), where he spoke with patients and assessed the quality of medical services being provided. He directed officials to ensure all necessary resources are allocated to complete the hospital as soon as possible.
Once operational, the state-of-the-art cardiac facility is expected to significantly improve healthcare access for residents of Sargodha and surrounding areas. The commissioner reiterated the government’s commitment to delivering quality medical infrastructure to the public.
