Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Field Marshal Asim Munir, is currently on an official visit to the United States, where he has held significant discussions with top political and military officials. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army chief attended the retirement ceremony of General Michael E. Kurilla, the outgoing Commander of US Central Command (Centcom), and witnessed the Change of Command Ceremony as Admiral Brad Cooper assumed leadership. Munir praised General Kurilla’s efforts in enhancing military cooperation between Pakistan and the US.

During his visit, Field Marshal Munir also met with Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Caine to discuss matters of mutual interest. Additionally, he engaged with defense chiefs from allied nations, highlighting Pakistan’s role in global security collaborations.

The army chief interacted with the Pakistani diaspora, urging them to remain optimistic about Pakistan’s future and contribute to its economic growth. He encouraged overseas Pakistanis to play an active role in attracting foreign investments to strengthen the country’s economy.
