Pakistan’s military has successfully neutralized three more terrorists attempting to cross the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Balochistan’s Zhob district. According to ISPR, the operation was conducted near Sambaza on the night of August 10-11, 2025. The slain militants were found in possession of weapons, ammunition, and explosives, with authorities confirming their links to foreign-sponsored terrorism.
This brings the total number of terrorists eliminated in the ongoing anti-infiltration operation to 50. Earlier, 47 militants were killed in operations between August 7 and 9 in the same region. The military released images of the neutralized terrorists as evidence of their successful counter-terrorism efforts.
The ISPR reiterated the armed forces’ commitment to securing Pakistan’s borders and preventing any threats to national stability. The operation highlights the persistent challenges posed by terrorist groups, particularly in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where attacks have surged since the TTP ended its ceasefire in 2022.
In a related development, the US State Department designated the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and its Majeed Brigade as Foreign Terrorist Organizations. This move aligns with Pakistan’s long-standing demands and strengthens international cooperation against terrorism. Despite these efforts, Pakistan remains the second-most impacted country in the Global Terrorism Index 2025, with terror-related fatalities rising sharply.
