Sapiens International, an Israeli software company specializing in insurance solutions, announced on Wednesday that it has agreed to be acquired by private equity firm Advent International for $2.5 billion in an all-cash transaction.*
Under the terms of the deal, Sapiens shareholders will receive $43.50 per share, representing a 47.5% premium over Tuesday’s closing price of $29.50 on the Nasdaq. Following the completion of the acquisition, Sapiens will transition into a privately held company.
