PTI Warned Against Protest Call — Legal Action Will Follow, Says Rana Sanaullah

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Political Affairs, Rana Sanaullah, has warned that if the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) calls for a protest movement, some of their members may resort to unlawful actions and will be dealt with accordingly.

In a statement, Rana Sanaullah recalled that PTI had previously announced a protest for November 24 last year but failed to execute it, citing lack of preparation and capability. “Now it’s May 10, and even after two more years, they’ll remain unprepared. They are only creating unnecessary trouble for themselves and their supporters,” he said.

He reiterated that any unlawful behavior in response to a movement call would lead to arrests. He also emphasized that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has offered dialogue, urging PTI to come to the table and engage on key national issues, warning that any movement would pose a greater threat to PTI itself.
