Miss Universe Russia 2017 Kseniya Alexandrova Dies in Tragic Car Accident

Kseniya Alexandrova, who rose to fame as Miss Universe Russia 2017 and first runner-up at Miss Russia the same year, has died following a car accident, her management agency Modus Vivendis confirmed. The accident occurred in Russia’s Tver region when the car she was traveling in collided with a moose on the road.

Alexandrova was rushed to the Sklifosovsky Research Institute in Moscow with severe injuries, including a traumatic brain injury. Despite medical efforts, she could not be saved. Her husband, who was driving the car, survived the crash. The couple had married only four months earlier, on March 22, adding to the heartbreak of her untimely death.

Her management agency expressed profound grief, calling her “brilliant, talented, and extraordinarily radiant.” In a statement, they remembered her as someone who brought warmth, inspiration, and kindness to everyone around her, and who would always remain a symbol of inner strength and beauty.

The Miss Universe Organization also paid tribute, praising her grace and the unforgettable mark she left on the global stage. Beyond her accomplishments in pageantry and modeling, Alexandrova earned a finance degree from Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, later studied psychology, and worked in the field. She was just 19 when she began her modeling career, leaving behind a legacy that blended beauty, intellect, and compassion.
