SANGHAR (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) Police claimed to have arrested 18 suspects, including 10 absconders, in multiple operations across the district on Friday. Explosives, narcotics, gutka and liquor were seized during the raids.
According to officials, Sanghar police recovered 230 cartons of firecrackers and explosive material worth around Rs2.5 million from a truck. Two suspects, Abdul Latif Khokhar and Muhammad Arif Rajput, were taken into custody while the vehicle was impounded.
In a separate raid, Khahi police arrested Meral Mari, wanted in a murder case, and recovered a TT pistol allegedly used in the crime.
Meanwhile, CIA police apprehended Paro Bheel and seized 1.1kg of hashish. Cases were registered at the Jhol police station. Tando Adam police arrested two suspects Asad Ali Khaskheli and Mumtaz Khaskheli and recovered over 1kg of hashish in separate cases.
Khadro police detained Riaz Ali Mughal and recovered 550 sachets of gutka, while Shahpur Chakar police arrested Lutf Ali Keerio with 880 sachets of gutka. Peromal police seized 30 litres of liquor from suspect Sajan Bheel.
Besides, police teams in Shahdadpur, Sinjhoro, Tando Adam and Taluka arrested 10 absconding suspects, including Suhail Chandio, Mir Khan Lanjwani, Ghulam Rind and others.
