Ranipur: Distribution of Housing Ownership Rights among Flood-Affected Women

Ranipur (sajid ansari) On August 29, 2025, an important ceremony was held at the Assistant Commissioner’s Office, Ranipur, organized by the Sindh government’s institution Sindh People Housing for Flood Affectees (SPHF). In this event, land titles granting ownership rights of houses were distributed to flood-affected families, particularly women.

The chief guest of the ceremony was the Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Sindh, Pir Syed Afzal Ali Shah Jilani, who, while addressing the gathering, said that the Sindh government has taken large-scale measures for the rehabilitation and welfare of flood victims. He stated that granting housing ownership rights to women is a historic step towards securing their future.

The program was hosted by Assistant Commissioner Ranipur, Shah Rukh Maghnohar, along with his team. On the occasion, women beneficiaries formally received their ownership certificates. The ceremony was attended by social figures, dignitaries of the city, and a large number of deserving women.

Pir Syed Afzal Ali Shah Jilani further said that the Sindh government is committed to the mission of public service and is making every possible effort not only to provide shelter to the flood-affected but also to make them permanent owners of their houses, enabling them to live a dignified life.

The participants appreciated this initiative by the Sindh government, the Special Assistant, and the Assistant Commissioner Ranipur, calling it a new ray of hope for the poor and affected communities of the region.
