Karachi ( Reporter) SSP Malir Dr. Abdul Khaliq visited hospitals, UCs, and sensitive points at the launch of the anti-polio campaign to review security arrangements.
During the visit, the SSP briefed police officers, lady constables, and intelligence staff about security measures. He not only inspected the arrangements but also personally administered polio drops to children.
According to the police spokesperson, more than 750 police officers, lady constables, and intelligence personnel have been deployed across District Malir to ensure security during the campaign. They are performing duties in close coordination.Police have also increased mobile and motorcycle patrols, deployed standing guards at key points, and enhanced monitoring through the Command and Control System. SSP Malir Dr. Abdul Khaliq appealed to the public to cooperate with polio teams, treat them with respect, and ensure their children are vaccinated. He added that the fight against polio is a national responsibility, and police are not only providing security but also playing an active role in the campaign.
