GDA Leader Jatoi Blames Sindh Govt Corruption for Flood Mismanagement

Dadu (Report Abdul Qadir Mahesar): Former Chief Minister of Sindh and GDA leader Liaquat Ali Khan Jatoi, along with Sardar Imdad Khan Laghari, Niaz Buriro, and others, arrived in Dadu to offer condolences to GDA leader Farooq Malik at his residence on the passing of his father-in-law, poet Dr. Barkat Ali Malik.

Speaking to journalists at Malik House, Liaquat Jatoi said that due to the lack of accountability in the country, Sindh has been engulfed in rampant corruption. He added that the flooding of a major city like Karachi during recent rains was the result of corruption involving billions of rupees.

Instead of protecting the people of Sindh from floods, Sindh government ministers are issuing alarming warnings of impending floods to create fear among the public. He alleged that fake bills worth billions were generated under the name of repairing and constructing river embankments, breaking corruption records in the irrigation department. Sindh’s rulers, according to Jatoi, are predicting floods only to cover up their incompetence and corruption.

He further stated that the Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) is raising its voice for the people of Sindh, while at the national level only Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is struggling for public rights. He called PTI founder Imran Khan the only honest leader and politician capable of steering the country out of its current crises, as he always thinks in the interest of the nation and its people.

On this occasion, Sardar Ashiq Zainoor, Ushaq Janwari, Saeed Soomro, Asad Mallah, Serai Akbar Jatoi, Sahib Khan Babar, Serai Akbar Panhwar, Ameen Waghio, Qurban Jamali, and others were also present.
