The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi has extended the interim bail of several accused, including Aleema Khan, the sister of PTI founder Imran Khan, in a case pertaining to the November 26 protests. The bail has been extended until September 10, the next scheduled date for the hearing.
The proceedings were adjourned on this occasion due to the leave of the presiding judge, ATC Judge Amjad Ali Shah. This administrative matter resulted in the postponement of arguments and a decision on the confirmation of bail.
Alongside Aleema Khan, the court also extended the interim bail of other prominent accused individuals. These include PTI leaders Naeem Haider Panjutha and Azam Swati, among others named in the same case.
The case against the accused was officially registered at the Sadiqabad Police Station in Rawalpindi. The allegations are connected to the protests that erupted on November 26, with the specific charges detailed in the First Information Report (FIR).
