Pakistan Condemns Israel’s Forced Displacement Plan, Calls for Global Intervention

Pakistan has vehemently condemned recent statements from the Israeli government concerning its intention to forcibly displace Palestinians from their land. In an official statement from Islamabad, the Foreign Office spokesperson declared that such plans constitute a severe breach of international law and pose a direct threat to peace and stability throughout the region. The condemnation underscores Pakistan’s firm stance against policies that target civilian populations.

The spokesperson emphasized that the forced relocation of Palestinians represents a grave violation of fundamental human rights, stripping an already oppressed population of its dignity and homeland. Pakistan has urgently called upon the international community to intervene, demanding immediate steps to protect Palestinian civilians and ensure accountability for the violations being committed against them. The statement also highlighted that Israel’s continued expansion of illegal settlements reflects a blatant disregard for established international humanitarian norms.

Reiterating its long-standing position, Pakistan affirmed its unwavering support for the Palestinian cause. This includes the undeniable right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and the establishment of an independent, sovereign state based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif (Jerusalem) as its capital. Islamabad warned that such aggressive practices by Israel not only perpetuate a cycle of instability but also deliberately sabotage efforts to achieve a comprehensive and lasting peace in the Middle East.

The current conflict, which erupted after Hamas’s attack on October 7, 2023, that killed 1,200 Israelis, has led to a devastating retaliatory campaign by Israel. According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, this offensive has resulted in the deaths of over 64,000 Palestinians, half of whom are women and children. Pakistan has urged global powers and multilateral institutions to break their silence and advocate for the Palestinians, highlighting the extreme humanitarian catastrophe that demands immediate international attention and action.
