Dadu City Submerged: Heavy Rains and Drainage Flooding Paralyze Life for 500,000 Residents

Dadu (Report Abdul Qadir Mahesar) Due to the heavy rains that started last night and continued intermittently, all small and large areas of Dadu city have been submerged in water. The dirty drainage water has flooded the 24 wards of Dadu city. Electricity in Dadu city and hundreds of surrounding villages has been shut down for the last 17 hours due to reported faults, leaving a population of 500,000 in distress.

The rains, which began with strong winds, have caused devastation everywhere, with 2 to 3 feet of water standing on every road in Dadu city.

The densely populated areas of the city Najam Colony, Shahbaz Colony, Badrabad Colony, Memon Mohalla, Chhano Shahabad, Murkpur, TB Hospital Road, Mazdoorabad, Shahani Mohalla, Syed Masri Shah Road, Syed Wadhan Shah Road, Bath Mohalla, Fish Market Road, Shahi Bazaar, Muhammad Shah Colony, Housing Society, Gharibabad, Workshop Colony, Majeed Colony, Mallah Chowk, Pir Bakhsh Colony, Cinema Chowk, Purano Chowk along with more than 150 other densely populated localities of Dadu city, have been submerged under drainage water after the rains.
