Karachi (Sports Reporter) Sindh Sepaktakraw Association Organized Defence Day Sepaktakraw Championship with the collaboration of Pakistan SepakTakraw Federation and Sindh Olympic Association was held at North Karachi Gymkhana. In which Karachi Green won the men’s competition while Karachi Blues won the women’s title. The chief guest of the closing ceremony was Ahmed Ali Rajput, Secretary Sindh Olympic Association, while Eng. Syed Mahfooz-ul-Haq was the guest of honor. He presented trophies to the winning teams. Pakistan SepakTakraw Federation Secretary General Noushad Ahmed Khan, Sindh Sepaktakraw Association Chairman Dr. Muhammad Arif Hafeez, President Shabbir Ahmed, Vice President Dr. Dilip Kumar, Sindh Arm Wrestling Association Secretary Kashif Ahmed Farooqi and others were also present on this occasion.
Addressing the ceremony, Ahmed Ali Rajput, Secretary Sindh Olympic Association, said that Pakistan and Sindh Sepaktakraw Association have worked very hard to promote Sepaktakraw, especially Noushad Ahmed Khan, Shabbir Ahmed, Dr. Arif Hafeez and others. He added that here I congratulate the captains of the men’s and women’s teams of the Pakistan Sepaktakraw team, Muhammad Khalid and Deedar Rani, for winning the bronze medal in the King’s Cup held in Thailand last month. Engineer Mahfooz-ul-Haq said that I am very happy that the Sindh Sepaktakraw Association organized the championship on the occasion of Defense Day. Mahfooz-ul-Haq also informed the players about valuable information regarding Defense Day in his address.
