Karachi ( Reporter) A tragic armed robbery took place in the jurisdiction of Bin Qasim police station, district Malir, late last night, leaving one resident dead after being assaulted by armed suspects.
According to police, the incident occurred at around 3 a.m. when six armed men stormed into a house. The suspects held the family hostage at gunpoint and looted valuables, including cash amounting to Rs. 800,000, gold jewelry, mobile phones, and other precious items.
During the course of the robbery, the suspects allegedly subjected the family members to severe violence. As a result, a resident named Javed sustained fatal injuries and lost his life. His family expressed anger and grief, blaming the rising wave of robberies in the area on ineffective policing.Following the incident, heavy contingents of police and Rangers rushed to the spot, cordoned off the area, and collected evidence. Law enforcement agencies confirmed that efforts are underway to trace the culprits using CCTV footage and other forensic leads.
Residents of the area have demanded immediate arrest of the perpetrators and stricter policing measures to curb the increasing incidents of armed robberies and restore peace in Bin Qasim and surrounding localities.
