Islamabad: The Senate of Pakistan has passed a resolution condemning Israel’s recent military attacks on Iran. The resolution, presented by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, described the Israeli strikes as a blatant violation of international law and the United Nations Charter. It labeled the attacks as war crimes that threaten the peace and security of the entire region. The resolution also highlighted the tragic killing of children in Gaza and Iranian military commanders, urging the global community to respond firmly against such aggression.
The Israeli offensive targeted Iranian nuclear and military sites, resulting in the deaths of top Iranian commanders, including the head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and key nuclear scientists. Pakistan’s government expressed deep concern over the escalation, emphasizing Iran’s right to self-defense under international law. The Foreign Ministry announced the establishment of a 24/7 Crisis Management Unit to safeguard Pakistani nationals and pilgrims in Iran amid rising tensions.
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called on the United Nations and the international community to take urgent steps to prevent further escalation that could jeopardize regional and global peace. The government reiterated its commitment to peace and stability, urging all parties to exercise restraint and pursue dialogue to resolve conflicts peacefully.
