Aleema Khan Says Government Cannot Block Imran Khan’s Sons from Visiting Pakistan

ISLAMABAD – Aleema Khan, sister of PTI founder Imran Khan, has said that the government has no authority to stop Imran Khan’s sons, Sulaiman and Kasim, from coming to Pakistan. Speaking to the media outside court, she stated that both hold NICOPs and have applied for visas using their British passports. She added that if the government delays their ID cards, the process could take six months, but the family will continue pursuing visas through the embassy, even seeking help from political figures if needed.

Aleema also addressed the multiple legal cases against her, including arrest warrants in a murder case, calling them “baseless.” She said her only “crime” was delivering Imran Khan’s message to the public. Criticizing the judicial process, she alleged that judges and police officers are working under pressure, urging them to dismiss false cases and restore public trust in the justice system.

She emphasized the struggles of ordinary citizens who travel long distances for hearings, demanding that all accused be called at once to either prove the allegations or release them. Linking her political stance to Pakistan’s independence history, Aleema announced plans for a political demonstration on August 14, saying Imran Khan seeks freedom for the entire nation, not just for himself.

Speaking on recent events, Aleema said that on August 5, the public “broke the idols of fear” and continued peaceful protests outside Adiala Jail without breaking any laws, though they were denied meetings with Imran Khan. She also confirmed that she would not seek interim bail in the murder case, despite the court extending her bail in the November 26 protest case until August 25.
