Anti-Dengue Operation Launched in Wah Cantt

Wah Cantt: On the directives of Assistant Commissioner Taxila Maria Javed, a targeted anti-dengue operation was conducted in the cantonment area on Wednesday. Led by Tehsil Entomologist Mian Israr Ali, the team included health inspectors and supervisors who inspected various locations to curb potential dengue outbreaks.

During the operation, dengue larvae were detected at multiple industrial sites, including Jan Timber Works, Malik Iron Steel, and Allah Tawakkal Engineering. The team promptly carried out insecticide spraying and sealed six high-risk locations to prevent further mosquito breeding.

Officials emphasized the importance of continuous monitoring to eliminate dengue threats. Mian Israr Ali urged residents to maintain cleanliness, avoid water stagnation, and properly dispose of waste to minimize mosquito breeding grounds.

The campaign reflects the administration’s proactive approach to safeguarding public health. Authorities have warned of strict action against violations of anti-dengue protocols and called for community cooperation to combat the disease effectively.
