Babar Azam Falls to No. 3 in ICC ODI Rankings After Poor WI Series

Pakistan’s batting mainstay, Babar Azam, has slipped to third place in the latest ICC Men’s ODI Player Rankings following a lackluster performance against the West Indies. The former No. 1 managed just 56 runs in three matches, averaging 18.66, causing his rating points to drop to 751. India’s skipper Rohit Sharma has now moved ahead to second place.

The rankings slump extended to other Pakistani players, with Mohammad Rizwan falling to 22nd, Fakhar Zaman (absent due to injury) dropping to 27th, and Saim Ayub tumbling nine spots to 46th. Only Abdullah Shafique showed improvement, rising seven places to 90th.

Among bowlers, Shaheen Afridi slid to 13th, while Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah also lost ground. Sri Lanka’s Maheesh Theekshana retained his top spot, with Kuldeep Yadav and Keshav Maharaj completing the top three. Pakistan will hope for a rankings rebound ahead of major tournaments.
