A high-level Pakistani parliamentary delegation, led by Pakistan People’s Party Chairman and former Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, met with the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Pakistan at Westminster Palace. The session, chaired by APPG Chair Yasmin Qureshi MP, was attended by cross-party British parliamentarians.
The visit is part of Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts to address growing regional instability following India’s aggressive actions after the Pahalgam incident. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari condemned India’s violations of Pakistan’s sovereignty, stressing that accusations against Pakistan lacked credible evidence. He warned that India’s attacks on civilians, breach of international law, and suspension of the Indus Water Treaty threaten regional and global security.
Minister for Climate Change Musadik Malik highlighted environmental and food security risks for Pakistan’s 240 million people due to India’s treaty violations. The delegation reiterated Pakistan’s restrained and lawful response under Article 51 of the UN Charter while advocating for dialogue on key disputes, including Jammu and Kashmir.
