Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Engages with Pakistani Diaspora in New York, Addresses India-Pakistan Tensions

Dr. Ghulamullah Shahzad and Imran Igra organized an event at the Cornell Club in New York City, hosting a Pakistani delegation led by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. The gathering brought together members of the Overseas Pakistani Society, along with talented Pakistani students and youth, who represent the nation’s bright future.

During the event, Bhutto Zardari spoke on critical regional issues, condemning India’s unprovoked aggression, targeting of civilians, and the alarming weaponization of water resources through the unilateral suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty—a violation of international law. He emphasized that sustainable peace in South Asia can only be achieved through dialogue, restraint, and mutual respect, rather than domination. A just resolution of the Jammu & Kashmir dispute, he stressed, remains essential for lasting stability in the region.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari extended his gratitude to the organizers, Dr. Ghulamullah Shahzad and Imran Igra, for facilitating the meaningful engagement.
