Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand) delegation of the Tando Adam Cotton Association, led by its president Haresh Kumar Vedhani, called on Assistant Commissioner Hunain Tariq Shahani at his office on Friday and presented a cheque for Rs1 million to support healthcare facilities at the Murad Khatoon Maternity Hospital.
Speaking on the occasion, the assistant commissioner lauded the association’s gesture and said such contributions for public welfare would help improve services in the health sector.
The delegation included Haji Abdul Hakeem, Ali Khan Khoso and Shewak Ram, while Advocate Ali Akbar Dogar was also present.
Mr Vedhani said the maternity hospital in Tando Adam had been established to facilitate the general public, particularly underprivileged women. “We believe in serving humanity, and such service is rewarded only by the Almighty,” he remarked, urging affluent individuals to come forward and play their role in this noble cause.
