Dadu (Report by Abdul Qadir): A high-level meeting on possible flooding was held at the Dadu Deputy Commissioner’s office, chaired by Sindh provincial minister Jam Ikramullah Dharejo, who has been appointed as the focal person by the Sindh government. Deputy Commissioner Syed Murtaza Shah, SSP Amir Saud Magsi, and other district officers briefed the participants on precautionary measures.
On this occasion, the embankments along the Indus River were also inspected. The meeting was attended by PPP District President Barrister Pir Mujeeb-ul-Haq, MNAs, MPAs, former elected representatives, and other local leaders.
Speaking at the meeting, Barrister Pir Mujeeb-ul-Haq said effective steps have been taken to protect people’s lives and property. He added that all institutions are on high alert, and full preparations have been made to deal with any situation similar to 2010 or 2022. He reaffirmed that the Sindh government is committed to providing maximum protection to the public.
District leaders including Imdad Hussain Dawocha, Khalid Hussain Mirani, Saddam Bulharo, Mian Saifullah Hangoro, Imtiaz Hussain Panhwar, and others were also present.
