Sanghar (Hasnain Ashiq Saand ) A meeting of health officials was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Sanghar, Sarah Javed, to review preparations for the upcoming anti-polio campaign scheduled from September 1 to 7, 2025. District Health Officer Dr. Daulat Jamali briefed the meeting and informed that all arrangements for the campaign have been finalized.
During the session, the District Steering Committee on HPV vaccination also convened, with members reviewing arrangements for the campaign to be conducted from September 15 to 27, 2025. The initiative aims to vaccinate girls aged 9 to 14 years against cervical cancer.
Briefing the participants, Dr. Muhammad Farooq said that during the HPV vaccination campaign, a total of 172,461 girls in Sanghar district would be vaccinated to protect them from cervical cancer.
Deputy Commissioner Sarah Javed directed all departments, particularly the Education Department, to extend full cooperation with health teams to ensure the successful completion of targets. She further instructed Assistant Commissioners to strictly monitor the campaigns, warning that no negligence by any UCMO or area manager would be tolerated, as the health of future generations is at stake.
The meeting was also attended by Civil Surgeon Aftab Azam Sariwal, District Education Officer Ghulam Mustafa Laghari, UNICEF representative Aftab, Dr. Bilal, and other officials.
