Family of Missing Youth Parin Wasan Stages Highway Sit-In, Demands Justice

Ranipur (Report By Sajid Ansari) Two months ago, a young man named Parin Wasan, a resident of Aliabad Wasan village, went missing. To demand his recovery, his family members staged a sit-in protest on the National Highway. After Parin Wasan’s motorcycle was found near the Rohri Canal, the family launched a demonstration, which caused hundreds of vehicles to come to a standstill on both sides of the highway, completely suspending traffic.

The protest was led by Panhil Wasan, Jani Wasan, and Jamoo Wasan. Speaking to the media, the leaders said that their brother had allegedly gone missing two months ago, after which they registered an FIR, but no trace of Parin Wasan has been found to date.

They further stated that today, near Ranipur, his motorcycle was discovered on the bank of the Rohri Canal, raising suspicions that he may have been killed. However, there is still no sign of the young man, and no assistance has been provided during the search.

The leaders accused the police of not cooperating in the case, saying that apart from finding the motorcycle, no progress has been made in tracing the missing youth.

They demanded that the DIG Sukkur and SSP Khairpur immediately provide assistance in recovering Parin Wasan; otherwise, they warned, the scope of their protest would be expanded.
