Government Employees in Johi Escalate Protest Over Unmet Demands

Johi (Report by Mansoor Gadehi) On the call of the Sindh Employees, government workers continued their protest for the acceptance of their demands. The staff of Taluka Hospital Johi observed the fifth consecutive day of protest by boycott the OPD service.

Protesters including Abdul Hameed Soomro, Ali Akbar Khokhar, Latif Lund, Gulzar Laghari, and Dawood Ahmed Khokhar stated that their protest continues against the Sindh government’s failure to provide Disparity Reduction Allowance (DRA) and the deductions being made from their pensions.

They said the Sindh government is committing economic genocide by cutting pensions of government employees.

They demanded that their legitimate demands be accepted; otherwise, all government employees across will march towards Karachi and stage a sit-in in front of Bilawal House
