Senator Taj Haider Bridge stands as a pivotal infrastructure project initiated by the Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) Sindh government, designed specifically for the people of Karachi. Expanding Capacity and Ensuring Cyclist Safety
In a recent video statement, Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, who holds the portfolios for Information, Transport, and Mass Transit, provided further details on the project’s scope. He revealed that an additional bridge is currently under construction parallel to the Senator Taj Haider Bridge. Upon its completion, the combined infrastructure will provide a substantial total of eight lanes to manage vehicular flow efficiently. Furthermore, demonstrating a commitment to multi-modal transport, the project includes a dedicated track for cyclists, constructed as part of the bridge’s design. This dedicated lane allows cyclists to travel safely, completely segregated from main road traffic, thereby enhancing safety for all road users without causing disruptions.
