MD SEF reaffirms grounded focus on holistic school improvement

Karachi : In a series of regional engagements, Mr. Gahanwer Ali Laghari, the Managing Director, Sindh Education Foundation (SEF), Govt. of Sindh highlighted that his focus is on tangible, ground-level improvements.

He emphasized that regular visits (twice-monthly) to schools to monitor progress, gather feedback, and ensure support as well as accountability, coupled with a robust approach to compliance of contractual obligations, record keeping and data management will pave the way for holistic improvements at the Foundation Assisted Schools.

“The emphasis is on ensuring required facilities in all schools and strengthening programs that contribute to better learning outcomes, with ongoing teacher trainings, improved enrolment and retention, and a vibrant culture of sports and co-curricular activities”, the MD emphasized during his visits in regions of Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas and Larkana.

A core focus of his deliberations was the establishment as well as upgrading of science and computer laboratories to provide students with hands-on learning opportunities that prepare them for the challenges of the modern world.

The Managing Director further added that the goal is to promote and pursue a holistic strategy that translates into measurable improvements in student performance and school readiness.

He added that the importance of consistent engagement with school communities, tracking progress, informed decision-making, and timely maintenance and upgrades of basic facilities as well provision of teaching-learning resources and capacity building to create safe and conducive learning environments.

He assured that each school will be receiving timely guidance and resources necessary to implement effective teaching and learning practices and would be responsible for retaining enrollments and enrolling new students at ECE levels to minimize the number of out-of-school-children in Sindh.

Laghari said that the expanding opportunities for students to participate in sports and co-curricular activities, recognizing that a well-rounded education is essential for personal and academic growth.

He concluded that the Government of Sindh is committed towards creating an environment for each and every child to enable him or her to excel academically while developing the skills and confidence that contribute to lifelong success.
