Actress Mishi Khan has fiercely responded to criticism based on actors’ age, questioning why age should be used as a standard for judgment. In a video shared on her Instagram account, she asked an important question: “Does life end after 40?” Her message was directed at those who believe actors beyond a certain age should stop performing.
She pointed out that in Pakistan, acting after the age of 40 is almost treated like a crime, whereas in India, age is not considered a limitation in the entertainment world. Mishi emphasized that Bollywood continues to embrace older actresses who actively work in films and TV without facing age-related criticism.
Mishi defended the recent film Love Guru, saying it should be evaluated based on its quality and technical aspects, rather than the age of its stars, Mahira Khan and Humayun Saeed. She expressed disappointment that age becomes a bigger discussion than the actual content or production value of a film.
The actress praised the film’s cinematography, storyline, and overall performances, stating that both lead and supporting actors delivered excellently. She urged audiences to focus less on negativity and more on appreciating the hard work of local artists. Mishi concluded her message by appealing to the public: “Stop the criticism and start supporting our actors.”
