NOWSHERA VIRKAN: Assistant Commissioner Jawad Hussain Pirzada conducted a visit to nomadic settlements on Wednesday to oversee the administration of anti-polio drops to all children under the age of five.
During the inspection, he personally verified the marked thumbs of vaccinated children.
The AC also chaired a meeting with Union Council Medical Officers (UCMOs) and area in-charges to evaluate the performance of polio workers in the ongoing four-day national immunization drive.
He appealed to local communities to extend their full cooperation to health teams in order to protect children from the debilitating disease.
