Malir (Reporter) Residents of Gulshan-e-Jadeed and surrounding areas have expressed deep concern over the growing menace of drugs in the locality and have demanded urgent action from the authorities. According to residents, drugs such as hashish, ice, bottles, cans, and other intoxicating substances are easily available in the area, due to which dozens of children have already become addicted. Parents fear that if immediate steps are not taken, thousands more children could fall victim to this destruction.Residents revealed that near a local market, drugs are being sold in huts where different street dealers supply intoxicating substances without restriction.
They further stated that one individual has set up a den there, who himself is addicted and is dragging the youth into the same menace.Locals alleged that no one is stopping these drug dealers; instead, they are becoming more active with each passing day. They appealed to the Sindh government, police, and anti-narcotics authorities to launch immediate action against drug dealers in order to save innocent children from the chains of addiction.
