Pakistan Strongly Condemns Israeli Airstrikes on Iran, Calls for International Action

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Friday condemned the Israeli airstrikes on Iran, calling them an unjustified and brazen violation of Iran’s sovereignty. He stated that these attacks have shaken the foundations of international law and the conscience of humanity, gravely undermining regional stability and international security. Pakistan expressed its solidarity with the government and people of Iran in the face of this aggression.

The Foreign Office issued a statement emphasizing that the Israeli military strikes violate Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, contravening the UN Charter and fundamental principles of international law. It reaffirmed Iran’s right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter. The statement also warned that these provocations pose a serious threat to peace and security not only in the region but beyond, with far-reaching implications.

Pakistan urged the international community and the United Nations to uphold international law by immediately halting the aggression and holding Israel accountable for its actions. The government called for global efforts to prevent further escalation and to restore peace and stability in the Middle East, highlighting the urgent need for dialogue and restraint among all parties involved.
