The Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC), operating under the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development (OP&HRD), is preparing to send skilled Pakistani workers to Saudi Arabia. An official source revealed that the demand for both skilled and unskilled labor from Pakistan has been steadily increasing, a trend linked to the current government’s policies. Millions of Pakistanis are already employed in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, significantly contributing to the national economy through remittances.
Saudi employers are seeking professionals for technical roles, including Shikra System Engineers, who must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Radar Technology. Additional certifications in radar systems, such as GM200 Radar and CONTROL View SHIKRA, are required. Selected candidates will undergo post-hiring training in France. Fluency in English is mandatory, while knowledge of French or Arabic will be an advantage. Strong communication skills are also essential.
Additional positions include RAPID Ranger System Engineers, Network Engineer Architects, Cisco Unified Communications Engineers, and Site Supervisors. Salary packages and employment terms will be finalized during interviews. Interested candidates must apply through the OEC’s official website and submit a Rs. 1000 bank challan generated during the online application process before the June 26 deadline.
The official emphasized that overseas Pakistanis play a vital role in the country’s economic development, calling them the “backbone of the nation.” With rising opportunities in Saudi Arabia, this initiative is expected to further strengthen remittance inflows and provide lucrative career prospects for skilled professionals. Applicants are encouraged to seize this opportunity and apply before the deadline.
