The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has called up 22 top white-ball performers for a short assessment camp scheduled for June 3, 4, and 5 in Lahore. The list includes players who have impressed in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and domestic cricket.
The selected players include Babar Azam, Usman Khan, Saud Shakeel, Shahid Aziz, Abbas Afridi, Salman Mirza, Mir Hamza, Abdullah Shafique, Khawaja Nafi, Haider Ali, Ahmed Daniyal, Mehran Mumtaz, Shaheen Afridi, Khurram Shehzad, Mohammad Rizwan, Moazz Sadaqat, Mohammad Nawaz, Aamir Jamal, Naseem Shah, Sufiyan Muqeem, Ali Raza, and Tayyab Tahir.
According to sources, the players will be divided into three groups for the short camp. The PCB will assess their fitness and performance, while also briefing them on the future strategy. Senior players will take part in various training sessions across the groups.
Head Coach Mike Hesson, along with other coaching staff, is expected to meet with the players and outline the roadmap for the national white-ball setup.
