PCB to Chronicle PSL’s Decade of Success with International-Standard Documentary

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced plans to commission a high-quality documentary chronicling the complete 10-year journey of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) from its inception in 2016 to the present day. The project aims to capture the league’s remarkable evolution on par with international production standards.

The documentary will serve as a comprehensive record, showcasing the league’s highest achievements, its most challenging lows, and its significant growth over the past decade. It is designed to be a definitive visual history of the tournament’s first ten years.

Key historical milestones will be a central focus of the film. This includes the pivotal transition of the league’s matches from the UAE to its home in Pakistan, the logistical challenges of attracting international cricket stars to the country, and the immense difficulties overcome to host tournaments during the global COVID-19 pandemic. A special segment will also be dedicated to analyzing the PSL’s rise to become one of the world’s premier cricket leagues.

To ensure a professional outcome, the PCB will formally invite proposals from experienced individuals and production companies starting next week. The board’s objective is to hire renowned and skilled professionals to develop this landmark project, ensuring it meets the highest cinematic standards.
