Police Arrest Tando Adam Resident for Refusing Polio Drops; Allegations of Violence Spark Outrage

Sanghar ( Reporter Ahsan Kaloi) – Usama Andhar, a resident near Aligarh College in Tando Adam city, refused to administer polio drops to his children. Following a complaint from the polio team, the Tando Adam administration was informed, after which the police reached Usama Andhar’s residence and attempted to arrest him. Usama resisted, and during the struggle, the police dragged him on the road, injuring him before taking him into custody and locking him up at Tando Adam City Police Station.
On the other hand, the leader of Ilmi Tahafuz Khatm-e-Nabuwwat, Allama Rashid Madni, strongly condemned the incident. He stated that the police entered the residence of their Khatm-e-Nabuwwat leader, pulled the women by their hair, and subjected them to violence, while also assaulting Usama Andhar before arresting him.
He further said that when they met the SHO, he informed them that Usama was arrested on the orders of Assistant Commissioner Tando Adam, Tariq Shahani. Allama Rashid Madni announced that a protest will be held tomorrow, Friday, after the Juma prayers.
