Malir (Reporter) Power supply from the Danish Feeder in Gadap Town has been suspended for the past 20 days, leaving more than 60 villages without electricity and drinking water. In protest against the prolonged outage and acute water shortage, hundreds of local residents surrounded the Gadap Grid Station and staged a sit-in demonstration.
The protesters said that business activities have come to a standstill while drinking water is unavailable due to the three-week-long blackout. They warned that their protest would continue until electricity is fully restored. As a result of the demonstration, entry and exit routes of the grid station were blocked. Gadap Police reached the spot to control the situation and initiated negotiations with the protestors.
