Sanaullah says PTI seeking establishment’s help to return to power

The government has strongly criticized the former ruling party for attempting to engage with the establishment instead of political stakeholders, framing the opposition’s agitation campaign as a deliberate move to destabilize the country. Adviser on Political and Public Affairs, Rana Sanaullah, stated that the stability achieved after recent national challenges and the government’s ongoing efforts for economic revival must not be undermined by political unrest.

Sanaullah expressed skepticism over the opposition’s motives, describing their new anti-government drive as an attempt to create instability. He clarified that while peaceful protest is a democratic right, any unlawful actions or efforts to disrupt national stability will be dealt with according to the law. The government, he said, will allow rallies provided they remain peaceful and within legal boundaries.

Addressing the issue of dialogue, Sanaullah questioned the sincerity of the opposition’s intent to negotiate, highlighting the contradiction of initiating talks while simultaneously launching a protest movement. He noted that the opposition appears more interested in engaging the establishment rather than sitting with other political parties to resolve issues through democratic means.

The adviser concluded by reaffirming the government’s commitment to economic revival and national progress. He called for all parties to set aside differences and agree on a ‘charter of economy’ to ensure Pakistan’s stability, emphasizing that the government is ready to collaborate with the opposition for the greater good of the country.
