Saudi Naval Chief Meets Pakistan’s CJCSC to Strengthen Defence Ties

RAWALPINDI : Chief of the Naval Staff of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces, Vice Admiral Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Ghuraybi, met with Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza at the Joint Staff Headquarters on Thursday. The discussions centered on regional security challenges, particularly in the Middle East and South Asia, with a special focus on maritime security, according to a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

During the meeting, General Mirza underscored the deep-rooted fraternal ties between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. He reiterated both nations’ commitment to further strengthening their longstanding defence partnership. The talks reflected a shared vision for enhancing collaboration in areas of mutual strategic interest.

Earlier, upon his arrival at the Joint Staff Headquarters, Vice Admiral Al Ghuraybi was received with full military honours. A tri-services contingent presented a Guard of Honour to the visiting dignitary, marking the significance of the diplomatic engagement.

The meeting highlighted the importance of bilateral cooperation in maintaining regional stability, particularly in the maritime domain. Both leaders expressed optimism about expanding defence ties to address emerging security challenges effectively.
