Security Forces Neutralize 14 more Terrorists in Zhob District!

Security forces have killed 14 more terrorists attempting to cross the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Balochistan’s Zhob district, the military’s media wing reported on Saturday. This brings the total number of militants neutralized in a two-day operation to 47. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the latest operation took place near Sambaza, where troops recovered weapons, ammunition, and explosives from the slain terrorists.

The ISPR stated that the terrorists belonged to the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), referred to as “Indian proxy Fitna al Khawarij.” The military emphasized that these operations were part of a broader effort to secure Pakistan’s borders and prevent destabilization. Earlier, on August 7-8, security forces had eliminated 33 terrorists in the same region.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi commended the armed forces for their swift and effective response. In a post on X, he praised their efforts in dismantling an “Indian conspiracy” aimed at disrupting peace in Balochistan. He stated that the timely actions of the security forces had foiled a major terrorist plot, ensuring the safety of the region.

This comes months after the government labeled terrorist groups in Balochistan as “Fitna al-Hindustan,” accusing India of backing insurgents to destabilize Pakistan. The latest operations reinforce Pakistan’s resolve to counter external threats and maintain internal security. The ISPR reiterated that the armed forces remain vigilant against any attempts to undermine the nation’s stability and progress.
