Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah chaired a meeting to finalize plans for digitizing cabinet communications and summaries, attended by provincial ministers, Chief Secretary Asif Hyder Shah, IT Secretary Noor Muhammad Samoon, and other senior officials. The CM emphasized reducing heavy expenditures linked to annual paper-based file processes through automation.
The first phase will focus on converting cabinet meetings and summaries into a paperless system. CM Shah instructed the development of an E-Cabinet app equipped with robust security features, ensuring ministers can easily access and upload documents via a centralized dashboard. A demo of the app’s design was presented during the meeting.
The CM mandated that the app be intuitive and minister-friendly, with capabilities to attach all relevant documents to digital summaries. This initiative aims to streamline decision-making while cutting costs and storage needs associated with physical paperwork.
With the CM’s formal approval, Sindh’s government departments will now transition to automated workflows, marking a significant step toward e-governance. The move aligns with broader efforts to enhance transparency and efficiency in provincial administration.
