Ranipur (Sajid Ansari) On the occasion of the International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances, Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (District Khairpur) organized a protest demonstration on the National Highway at Ranipur, demanding the release of forcibly disappeared political workers.
A symbolic hunger strike camp was also set up during the protest. The demonstration was led by Wajeeh Khaskheli, Dr. Nazir Khokhar, Imtiaz Machhi, Hakim Bhilar, Afzal Machhi, Qadeer Sindhi, and other nationalist leaders.
Speaking to the media, the leaders said: “Today, the whole world is observing the International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances. Unfortunately, in Sindh, nationalist activists are still being abducted and forcibly disappeared.
Even international human rights organizations have remained silent on this serious matter, which is a grave injustice.” The leaders further stated that the oppressed people of Sindh must now unite in their struggle: “We only demand the release of our missing loved ones. We have no enmity with anyone.
The sole purpose of our struggle is to ensure the safe recovery of the disappeared political workers and to secure their fundamental human rights.” A large number of nationalist workers, students, and citizens participated in the protest camp, holding banners and placards while chanting slogans against enforced disappearances.
