A horrific road accident near Langer Sarai in Muzaffargarh resulted in six fatalities and eighteen injuries after a passenger bus collided with a trailer. The bus, traveling from Jhang to Alipur, was carrying several passengers when the crash occurred. Among the deceased were two men, two women, two children, and the bus driver.
Rescue 1122 teams arrived promptly at the scene, providing immediate medical assistance to the injured before transporting them to a nearby hospital. District Traffic Officer (DTO), DSP, and SHO were present to oversee the situation and coordinate relief efforts.
Preliminary reports suggest that the bus and trailer collided head-on, though the exact cause remains under investigation. Police have cleared the wreckage and restored traffic flow. Authorities are completing legal formalities before releasing the bodies to grieving families.
Officials have expressed deep sorrow over the incident and extended condolences to the affected families. The tragic accident highlights the urgent need for stricter enforcement of traffic laws and improved road safety measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
