In a tragic incident on Thursday morning, six members of the Bhungwar community were gunned down by rivals while on their way to a court hearing in Nawabshah. The attack took place within the jurisdiction of the B-Section Police Station, leaving the victims dead on the spot. Police confirmed that five bodies were discovered in Keriya Mori, while another was found in a nearby field.
The deceased have been identified as Qurban, Shahbaz, Farman Habdar, Yar Muhammad, and Najeeb Bhangwar. According to authorities, the victims were traveling from their village to attend a court proceeding when armed assailants ambushed them near Keriya Mori. A heavy police contingent rushed to the scene upon receiving reports of the multiple murders.
Initial investigations suggest that the attack stemmed from a long-standing feud, though police are still probing the exact motives. The bodies have been moved to Nawabshah Hospital for further legal proceedings. Meanwhile, tensions remain high in the area as law enforcement works to prevent further violence.
